BPM (Beats Per Minute) was a radio show which was created by DJ Skott in 1997. The show was on WHSN 89.3FM, Bangor, Maine. It aired Friday Nights from 8 to midnight in the summer, and 9 to midnight during school sessions. Beats Per Minute featured Hi-NRG, Eurodance, Speed Garage, House, Top 40 Club mixes and Trance. DJ Skott did not have pitch control when he started the show.
You’ll notice the mixing style was experimental by slamming to the next track or blending. DJ Skott used Numark CD-7030’s starting in April 1998. In January 1999, the last BPM showed aired.
In 2001 DJ Skott began to stream Trance music on a channel he called The BPM Radio network. This project was short lived. In 2006 DJ Skott attempted to bring the BPM Radio Network back to fruition. The station was online until April 2012. Although the station is offline, you will find on this page an archive of BPM on WHSN 89.3FM and a Mix of DJ Skott live on the BPM Radio Network.
